While we strive for precision and excellence, unforeseen circumstances (such as weather conditions, road closures, or safety considerations) may require adjustments. In such cases, we will communicate promptly and provide suitable alternatives while maintaining the quality and spirit of your journey.

1. Travel Conditions

Travel in Tanzania and across Africa offers unmatched beauty but may differ from developed regions. Guests should be aware of:

• Sudden regulatory changes (e.g., park fees, taxes)

• Infrastructure variability

• Environmental unpredictability

Serengeti Kopjes Tours reserves the right to pass on any government-imposed costs.

2. Payment Terms

• A 45% deposit is required to confirm bookings

• 100% payment required for airline tickets upfront

• Remaining balance due 65 days before departure

• Bookings within 65 days require full payment immediately

3. Methods of Payment

Payments are accepted via bank wire/transfer.

4. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing.

• Flights are 100% non-refundable

• Amendments after booking may incur a €150 fee

5. Website Pricing

• Prices are per person, based on two travelers

• Quoted in USD ($)

• Excludes:

  • Visas & passports

  • Tips & gratuities

  • Insurance

  • Personal expenses

Prices are indicative only and subject to change. Final pricing is confirmed via invoice (valid for 2 weeks).

6. Travel Documents

All travel documents (e-tickets, vouchers, etc.) will be issued 2 weeks before departure.

7. Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory. Coverage should include:

• Medical expenses

• Emergency evacuation

• Trip cancellation

• Loss/damage of belongings

8. Passports & Visas

• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after travel

• Tourist visa available on arrival:

  • $50 (most nationalities)

  • $100 (US citizens)

Guests are responsible for ensuring compliance with entry requirements.

9. Booking & Contract

A contract is formed when:

• Deposit is received, or

• Full payment is made (for late bookings)

The lead traveler assumes responsibility for all members of the group.

10. Amendments by Clients

• Changes are subject to availability

• Fees apply ($75–$100 per person)

• Changes within 12 weeks = treated as cancellation

11. Cancellation by Serengeti Kopjes Tours

We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to:

• Non-payment

• Operational constraints

In such cases:

• Full refund OR alternative trip offered

• Compensation may apply ($75 per person)

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for events beyond our control, including:

• Natural disasters

• Pandemics

• Political unrest

• Flight disruptions

Refunds depend on recoveries from suppliers.

13. Liability

We ensure services meet reasonable local standards. However:

• External excursions are not our liability

• Compensation limits apply

• Liability capped at 200% of trip cost (excluding injury/death cases)

14. Carriers

Air, sea, and land transport are governed by third-party carriers and international conventions.
We are not responsible for:

• Delays

• Lost baggage

• Schedule changes

15. Legal Jurisdiction

All agreements are governed by laws of Tanzania, with jurisdiction in Dar es Salaam courts.

16. Complaints Procedure

• Report issues immediately to your guide or lodge

• Submit written complaint within 28 days after return
